We have been a Skills for Care, Centre of Excellence for just under a decade now, and it’s an endorsement that we take incredibly seriously. Following the new system of awarding within the care sector, our Centre of Excellence licence renewal ended at the end of May 2025, and a new one took its place – a big change!
Many of our clients found us through the Skills for Care Endorsement list, showing how revered it was throughout the sector – it was a great way for care providers to find quality training services, easily. Speaking to a new client who indeed found us through this scheme, they recognised the importance of these endorsements to ensure they are not only up skilling their staff using a quality training provider who offers an excellent service but moreover, one who appreciates Sector challenges and works collaboratively to support.
We provide quality training and consultancy for the care sector. Being a Centre of Excellence demonstrated our commitment to providing the high level of quality in our training and consultancy as to gain this badge we went through annual and meticulous quality assurance processes, where we demonstrated that our services met (and exceeded) the Skills for Care measure. We are grateful for the opportunities this endorsement provided, through boosting the standards of training in this sector and we are sad to see the familiar logo disappear.
But it’s not all sad news, as we announced at the end of last year, we were the first training organisation to be awarded as a new Quality Assured Learning Provider! Skills for Care are contracted, by The Department of Health and Social Care to carry out the Quality Assurance under this new scheme – so the quality expected, quite rightly, remains to the same standard.
We at Alium look forward to supporting the sector through the New Quality Endorsement.
Let’s raise the standard of care, together.
