About the Course

This Quality Assured Governance and Regulation Programme is designed to support aspiring leaders within your team to understand the importance of, and their role within, the Governance and Regulation of your organisation. This course supports progression and aligns with the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, helps services to operate at an outstanding level as defined by CQC and demonstrates how an organisation could grow without compromising on values or quality.

It covers:

  • How all relevant legislation and statutory guidance applies to their organisation
  • Supports the design and implementation of a Governance Policy and Procedure which meets both the requirements and expectations of CQC and PAMMS
  • An understanding of position descriptions to facilitate effective governance
  • An appreciation of why and how governance is a foundation for growth
  • Confidence when implementing governance, which promotes staff moral, recruitment and retention

By the end of the learning programme delegates will:

  • Gain an understanding of what governance and regulation looks like within adult social care services and its importance, and
  • Be confident able to reflect on their role in governance
