To gain an understanding of alcohol misuse together with the risks and effects associated with misuse, and looking at prevention measures and supportive strategies.

Outcomes of the Course

• Describe the effects of alcohol on the body and mind​

• The effects on others  - for example family, friends, other residents and staff  ​

• Why people binge drink and the social impact​

• Describe the effects of alcohol misuse  – short term and long term​

• How to support clients who misuse alcohol, to understanding the duty of care involved​

• Guidance on supportive strategies and signpost to further information ​

Assessment: ongoing observation and end of session Activity. Each delegate will receive a Certificate of Attendance
