Course Content 

This course looks at what ADHD is, how it is diagnosed, how to help children and teenagers living with ADHD, the support carers may require and how to understand the world from an ADHD perspective.  

 

The course covers: 

  • What is meant by the diagnosis Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and ADHD 

  • Gaining an awareness of the challenges associated with ADHD 

  • Understanding what the world is like for children and teenagers with ADHD 

  • How to help children and teenagers with ADHD learn 

  • How to help children and teenagers living with ADHD to cope with and manager their symptoms 

  • What support foster parents and carers may require

Assessment: Ongoing observation and end of session activity.  Each delegate will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
