Course Content 

Life story work is completed with children and young people to help them to understand their life history and their journeys in care. 

This course teaches you how to help a child or young person to create and use a life story.  

The course covers: 

  • What is a life story  

  • Why life stories are important  

  • How to plan a life story project  

  • What is a ‘later life letter’ 

  • How to create a a life story with a child or young person  

  • How to integrate the life story into the child or young person’s care plan  

  • How to evaluate the effectiveness of a life story  

This course can also be tailored to your needs.

Assessment: Ongoing observation and end of session activity.  Each delegate will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
