Course Content
This course is designed to gain an understanding of the condition and the types of skills and knowledge required to support clients who exhibit the signs of Autism.
The course covers:
- Definition of Autism is and how it forms a part of the Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).
- Recognition of the main characteristics of behaviour for people on the ASC.
- Understand the triad of impairment.
- Identify strategies to care for and support clients who live with the condition.
- Understand the Legislative requirements.
- The use of reflective practice and continuous development to improve the care and support provided.
- Application of the learnings into practice, identifying clear examples of best practice

Assessment: Ongoing observation and full engagement in all activities. All delegates will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
