The Emergency First Aid course is aimed at those staff responsible for carrying out emergency First Aid. Please note: This course is valid for 1 year. A refresher course: can be delivered in a 3 hour session as long as candidates have proof of an original current First Aid including CPR certificate from a reputable provider.

Course Content

The Emergency First Aid course is useful for anyone who requires an understanding of both theory and practices of First Aid. Aimed at organisations who operate within a low risk environment. If your risk assessment indicates that first aid training covering emergency protocols only, is sufficient for your workplace, this one-day course will help you meet your regulatory requirements.

The course will cover:

  • The role of a First Aider
  • Primary and Secondary surveys
  • Communications and casualty care
  • Managing an emergency
  • Bleeding (minor and severe)
  • Burns
  • Choking (adults)
  • Legislative requirements
  • Resuscitation (adult CPR)
  • Seizures (adult)
  • Shock.
  • Conscious and unconscious casualty and their treatmen.
  • Use of AED’s.

Duration:    1 Day or a 3 hour refresher (please note the qualification requirement)

Delegates:   Up to 10

Assessment: Ongoing observation and end of session activity. Each delegate will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
