This Health and Safety course is aimed at all staff. The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, requires that all staff have an awareness of their responsibilities under the Act. It also meets the employer requirements for providing Health and Safety training, to include themselves and all their staff.

Course Content

The Health & Safety course defines Health and Safety, looks at the legal responsibilities, requirements and implications for non-adherence to the legislation. It also looks at Health and Safety related accident and its implications.  In particular, it looks at policies and procedures, work place hazards, including RIDDOR and appropriate record keeping procedures.

  • The definition of Health and Safety
  • The legal responsibilities and expectations of Health and safety, including policies and procedures
  • Accidents relating to inadequate Health and Safety adherence
  • Health and Safety in the workplace and related hazards
  • Record keeping
  • HSE guidance.

Assessment:  Ongoing observation and end of session Activity. Each delegate will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
