The CQC Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOE) Inspection workshop incorporates the CQC’s latest Transitional Regulatory Approach to inspection; provides delegates with a clear understanding of the Fundamental Inspections Standards and how these standards fit into the requirements of each business and supports delegates to identify key evidence against the standards and looks at potential areas for development. It also covers the requirements and ways of working during the Current Covid-19 situation including:

  • Understand the Standards of Inspection under each of the 5 KLOE’s
  • Understand the latest Transitional Regulatory Approach to inspection
  • The ways of working – what is expected of providers.
  • How the standards of inspection apply to the sector (focused on client’s particular sector).
  • Suggestions of evidence applicable under each standard.
  • Support in identifying compliance against each standard of inspection
  • Ways to capture good practice as evidence of compliance including a rating of Good to Outstanding
  • Ways of Maintaining continuous professional and service development – to reach a good to outstanding rating.
  • Ways to ensure staff understand and feel confident to demonstrate application of the standards by demonstrating their knowledge and understanding during inspections

Please note that ‘Live Learning’ and ‘Virtual Face to Face Learning’ use online video conferencing which has become the norm following the Covid-19 outbreak.  This requires fully functioning cameras and mics to enable the training to be delivered effectively and to avoid delay or disturbance to others.  Kindly check sound and cameras prior to commencing the course.

This course can be delivered to a single company (e.g.  one organisation with multiple sites and under the same management) wide workshop for 10 or more people.

Any changes to an existing booking will incur an administration fee of £25.00, payable prior to confirmation of the changes. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for further information on changes to bookings.

DELEGATE COMMENTS FOLLOWING THE ‘CQC KLOE (Keylines of Enquiry) ’ 1-DAY COURSE

Alium Care Training carries out post-training reviews and analysis to make sure that our courses are always on-point, engaging and benefit all delegates.   Below are comments following this course…

“I just wanted to email you today to say that I have just completed the KLOE training with Sangita Boyd, Alium Care Training.  It was brilliant and really informative. The information was relevant and extremely useful.  All my managers that also completed the training have also commented that it was brilliant and they are excited to implement what they learned.   The Alium Care Training tutor was very engaging, friendly and knew her stuff!  As a result, we have also booked 4 places on the Infection control Train the Trainer course.”

Clare Mortlock, Operations Director  Blue Bird Care, Kent

“5 Star rated:   I attended a course on the CQC KLOE’s and found the content of the course very useful in preparing for inspections, each one was explained in detail which will help us to collate the evidence to demonstrate to our inspectors. The course was delivered in a relaxed manner and afforded all to ask questions and discuss ideas.
Thank you to Sangita and her team.”

Julian Finnis, Island Residential Care

“I really enjoyed this training session as it went into detail on each specific ‘KLOE’ as well as each subsection within it. I also liked the opportunity to listen to individuals from other care companies to hear what they currently have in place or are planning on implementing. This helps us broaden our answers to KLOE subsections that ask for how we learn/improve based off of other companies/services. My course wasn’t particularly large, which allowed me to voice my opinions and thoughts easily and confidently, which I can sometimes struggle with. For an online session, I didn’t feel like my learning was any different from that in a classroom. This was hugely benefitted by our Alium session leader who encouraged us to answer questions and make sure everyone got involved. The PowerPoint that we followed was very engaging and specific to current CQC requirements. Items were taken word for word from the CQC website meaning it was completely relevant to any upcoming CQC inspections. I was particularly grateful for the explanation of how the emergency protocol CQC are currently working around, as I was unaware of this at the time. It also broadened my leadership skills by reminding me to incorporate questions such as ‘what are the key lines of enquiry’ and ‘what are the 5 values of our company’ into 121/supervision sessions. By doing this, we are empowering our staff in their knowledge of what CQC inspectors may ask, as well as their confidence in their job role. I have now completed two Alium courses, and have already asked to be put on a third. Thank you!”
