Description

The programme is aimed at both new and experienced managers & supports delegates to learn how to influence and implement changes to address current and future challenges to service needs. The programme supports delegates to consider their own leadership styles and focus on the impact of these to themselves and their team. The programme also contains practical strategies to develop delegates' leadership skills, enabling them to lead change, manage sensitively and ultimately improve the quality of care delivered.

The programme:

  • Takes a practical look at how to influence and implement necessary changes to meet current and future challenges and service needs in health and social care.  It explores how to lead and manage change and ultimately improve the quality of care delivered.
  • Enables participants to consider their own leadership styles. It focuses on the impact these have on themselves and their team, how to become a more effective leader and how to influence and motivate teams.
  • Centres around mentoring and coaching and how to identify and nurture skills in other people to develop high performing teams and grow future talent.
  • Provides an opportunity to work with and share issues and ideas with your others within the sector.
  • Leadership – a shared understanding
  • Sources of change – change management versus change leadership
